Belton Manuka Honey

Project Information

Halo Design developed a distinctive brand identity for Belton Honey, grounded in authenticity, craftsmanship, and the natural beauty of North Canterbury. The project encompassed branding, packaging design, and location photography, capturing the diverse landscapes surrounding the beehives and the purity of the environment in which the honey is produced.

For the packaging and visual identity, I experimented with materiality and texture by creating a unique pattern made entirely from real honey. The honey was photographed and then abstracted and defamiliarised, resulting in a tactile, organic design element that reflects both the product’s origin and its artisanal quality. The outcome is a brand expression that feels natural, refined, and unmistakably unique — rooted in place and process.
